I’ve always loved matcha because of its powerful antioxidants and detoxification properties. I’ve been drinking matcha for years because it is part of my healthy lifestyle! When I discovered that Vital Proteins makes a matcha collagen, I couldn’t wait to try it.
Collagen is widely known for promoting healthy skin, nails, and hair, but it also helps with cardiovascular health and improves joint health. I also decided to try out their collagen bone broth because while I’ve made bone broth at home from beef bones, it’s a long and tedious process.
I couldn’t wait to receive my collagen from Vital Proteins in the mail and I love everything about it – the packaging, how easy it is to use it, and the taste. I only recommend products that I genuinely have had great experiences with, so definitely check them out and give them some love!
I was so excited that I decided to first add my matcha collagen into a berry smoothie. I drink one every morning, so it’s the perfect way to start the day – with a dose of healthy fat (from avocado), vitamins and minerals (from the berries and fresh squeezed orange juice), and protein (from the yogurt), and antioxidants and collagen (from my matcha collagen powder). Here’s how to make it!
You will need:
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 2 cups frozen mixed berries
- 1 cup of milk (your choice)
- 1/2 Haas avocado
- 1 scoop Vital Proteins matcha collagen
Mix all ingredients into a blender. It’s that easy! This smoothie was so delicious and nutritious – the best way to start the day!
