Holiday Detox!

Since the holidays are around the corner and I know I’m going to be eating a lot next week, I’ve started a smoothie detox for the next 5 days. I like to mix up the fruits and veggies, which combined make a tasty drink. The great thing about making smoothies (rather than juicing) is that you get all of the fiber from the fruit or vegetable, rather than just the vitamins from the juice.

Here are a few of my favorite recipes!

Fruit and Kale (pictured)

1 cup of blueberries

1 cup of strawberries

1 cup of kale

1 to 2 tsp of lemon juice

1/2 cup of apple juice

1 cup of water

3 ice cubes

Spinach and Apple Smoothie

2 cups of baby spinach

1 green apple

1 cucumber

1 cup of  water

1 to 2 tsp of lemon juice

3 ice cubes
